| Aco is a lampworker, creates glass jewellery and blown glass work. She has shifted from her home | |||||||
| studio and opened a retail shop "Studio A & CO" at The Mill, Waikuku, North Canterbury in June 2011. | |||||||

| Aco is originally from Japan and began her training in glass blowing at Tokyo Glass Art Institute in 1997. | |||||||
| NEWS | She travelled to Australia in 1999, and had a year work experience in several glass studios. After moving to | ||||||
| New Zealand in 2001, she took several lampworking workshops in Australia and New Zealand. She has set up | |||||||
| CONTRIBUTORS | her own working bench and her career as a bead maker has started in 2004. | ||||||
| Aco's work is inspired by the bright & crisp New Zealand landscape and by a Japanese minimalism. | |||||||
| Her blown pieces are thought to be a practical use and are inspired by her everyday life. | |||||||
